Laura Toschi is an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Bologna and serves as the Deputy Director of the Executive Master in Technology Innovation Management at the Bologna Business School.

She graduated in Management Engineering and later obtained her Ph.D. in Management from the University of Bologna, during which she spent visiting periods abroad at Boston University, the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU), the University of Queensland, and the Queensland University of Technology.

Laura teaches courses in business planning, entrepreneurial finance, entrepreneurial ecosystems, and innovation management at the undergraduate, MBA, doctoral, and executive levels. Her research focuses on various areas of entrepreneurship and innovation, including entrepreneurial finance (venture capital, university seed funds, proof of concept funds, and impact investing), sustainability issues, with a focus on the green economy, and the scientific and technological transfer from universities to industry.

Her work has been published in journals such as Organization Science, Research Policy, Journal of Business Venturing, Ecological Economics, Industrial and Corporate Change, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, International Small Business Journal, and Journal of Technology Transfer.
